multiplayer problems

when i sign in there are tonnes of red crosses, but when i do finally find a place where i can play there is a screen and it wants me to choose a uaer and a colour red or blue. when i just click on the first two things to get me through it loads, but does not ask what gender to be and then the screen is nearly completley black and it turns out i am controlling a black hawk and i am just flying in the air, there is no one else on this server and in the bottom left of the screen it shows stuff that would be in the campaign. i dont know what is wrong and when i look for servers it saids i have a certain update i.e. 1.6.1 or something like that and underneath it would say i need the same version in red writing i just need to know what is wrong.

hey same thing here tons of red crosses sometimes all red crosses but when i find one with a question mark and it works im just flying around as a crow which is cool and all but thats not why i bought this game
