Please change the bandage name!!!

Recommended Posts

I did not scrape my knee or get a small booboo. I have either been shot, hacked, or had my flesh torn by a zombie.

Change the "bandage" name to a "tourniquet". I know im nit picking and there is more serious stuff to do but maybe just something for the future.

I agree, but since they wont be implementing amputations in the future, I feel this name is more realistic for a gun shot then bandage IMO

This is a trauma dressing, of the type USED on gunshot wounds by militaries across the world.

Tourniquets are pretty much obsolete, except for extreme situations. Which this sort of is. But one doesn't simply say "lol okay, I'm giving up on this arm because it has an axe cut on it", you try to stop the bleeding with direct pressure, pressure points, and blood clotting agents. NOT a tourniquet. Because you're more than likely to lose that arm forever if you do that without knowledge that surgical treatment will reach you in a few hours.

This is coming from a Red Cross certified first responder.

Have no problem with the namings. It's just a detail. Bleeding though, caused by the ridiculous eratic slaps of zombies [dayZ], should be eliminated IMO. Keep it as-is for firearm wounds and falls.

I think about every house have bandages and im pretty sure not every house have tourniquets. If forms of limb trauma, damage from explosion, being shot with high caliber rifles so on so on, and not just broken bones, would be added then I would say that tourniquets should be added. But the forms of damage there is now, bandages are just fine.
