chaR 40 Posted July 20, 2012 Like 3/4th of the servers are the wrong version for me.I'm using sixlauncher, doesn't give me an option to update.Me & 2 other friends were playing on a dark server before. One was using sixlauncher, the other wasn't. We wanted to swap to a light server, the guy without sixlauncher found a server. He could get on it, no problem. But when me & the other guy (we both do use sixlauncher) tried to connect, we couldn't join because the version was apparantly wrong.None of us had left the game. We all 3 disconnected from the server at the same time.Installing the beta patch manually doesn't work properly for me & last time I tried that I spent half a day to get my arma2 to work again. deren93@hotmail.com 95 Posted July 20, 2012 Don't use Six Launcher - it will update the beta patch without asking you. Use DayZ commander instead.Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\ExpansionUninstall your beta batch by deleting the "beta" folderInstall the beta version that the server you are joining is using. If you use DayZ commander, it will tell you the Arma version of the server as "1.61.xxxxx" the xxxxx is the beta version - you can find the corresponding bersion from http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/Note that DayZ commander tends to tell you the beta is 3 higher than it actually is (for some reason). IE if the beta version is 95054 it will say 95057. You can see the actual beta version in the Server name ie (1.7.2.3/95054)
