Minimum Graphics/Video card needed for game

Ok my computer is veryyyy slow when it comes to being able to play MMO games. I always want to play in high video resolutions, but cannot and have to always lower to low video settings, which sucks real bad, since I can't see all the nice graphics in any game. Now my question is since I know nothing about video cards, what is a good recommended video card I should get so I can play at near the highest video settings? Is there one out there good enough that I only have to spend $200 or do I have to spend like $400?

It depends on your power supply and motherboard. I got a Radeon HD4670 for $50-70 and I can run it on high although it lags due to overpopulated servers. Also, you may need to buy other upgrades.

ATI radeon 6950 gets me pretty much all maxed out and should have come down in prive since the 7000 series came out.

can i run day z with windows 7 premium like if i bought it off of steam can i play it because it says i need windows xp or vista for the requriments on steam

They are the mimimum requirements, your OS is newer and will run it.
