Guess I learned not to be attacked to my gear

So while I as playing, I had gotten all the hunting gear within the first 15 min. I went into the forest and went hunting while heading north. It was then I lost connection a min away from a server reset (dunno is that matters) so I try and reconnect, and all my stuffs gone.

Ah well, another day another horde.

Is there a proper way to save your character while you're connection is being lost?

attacked to your gear? When I came in, I thought someone killed you for your stuff.

Sometimes when the server starts to lag to hell and you join a new one, your stuff will be gone unfortunately.

That's fine, I understand it's buggy. Just wanted to know if there was something I could do. I'll just keep on trucking then.

I believe what the OP meant is "Attached"

the only way that i know to save is to abort and disconnect then restart your game dont respawn just reconnect to the server

Well this happend to me, I was inches away from a dead player with an M4 and what looked like about 5 clips.

Server crashes and I have to go to another one.

When I get there I start again on the beach, but this time I started with a hachet and loads of bandages for some reason

I lost all my hunting gear, but had only just started, so when I came back I got a free hachet

I would happily edit the title if I could, hopefully people will actually read the OP and see my correction.

If you leave to the lobby then rejoin the game it saves (98% of the time) your gear and location. If the serverrandomly restarts or you lost connection your stuff will not be saved; however, if you are kicked for your ping or just one of battleyes random kicks for not responding ect your gear WILL be saved (atleast it always is for me).
