Bad serial given

Hello my fellow marines,

Today I installed the game tried to join a server with Six Launcher but it gave and error Bad serial given. What should I do to fix this problem?

If you are useing steam, simply run it as administrator since steam is proberly haveing problems injecting the right CD key into your register.

I run the game went to the server selection area and looks like I have to update my game it's 1.61 or 1.60 right now I guess. How do I do that?

P.S getting few erros like missing this file...missing that file.

Make sure you run each game once, ArmA 2 and ArmA 2: AO from inside Steam before you update.

Then register for an account HERE at BiS, then you can download the betas from HERE.

ETA: Make sure you have Auto-Update disabled in Steam for both of them also

Oh god, now I can't even run them thro the steam....

Try doing an integrity check of the games. If you already have installed a beta go to the main ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead folder, then into Expansion and delete the Beta folder. Also delete the 2 files called "Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch" and "Uninstall Arma2 OA Beta Patch" in the ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead main folder.

This is weird. Do I have to delete the whole beta folder? cause few stuff in there

Yeah, you'll be fine because it does not integrate with the main game.

Okay so I am not sure what to do with the beta once I have downloaded it, where am I putting it? Can someone give me a step by step? Really need help :(
