ONCE you have installed ARMA 2 and ArrowHead Combined Operations RUN Steam as ADMINISTRATOR

Here http://cdn.armafiles.info/latest/ you'll find the DAYZ Mod files you'll need all the .RAR files.

The Changlelog.txt files tell's you what is going to change. The ones with the most recently changed date will the be ones you need to download if you have run other versions of the game. On the forums it will tell you which ones have changed once a update has been released. Otherwise if it's an fresh installation download all these;

So next time you only need the 2/3 new files that you will see from the file versions changing and latest date.

Close STEAM, Sixlauncher and the Game BEFORE DOING THIS PART otherwise files won't save

Installing the files manually find your STEAM folder you need to OPEN STEAMAPPS next COMMON next Arma 2 next ADDONS And paste the .RAR files you downloaded from from the above link there and Extract Here using win.RAR or 7 Zip. Delete the .RAR files you had pasted there, once extracted.

Now you have just patched the Dayz files manually.

How to Launch DAYZ without Steam or SixLauncer running

First you'll need to run one of the Arma Beta patches (this will create the .exe you'll find later) no need to extract just click RUN and Ok. (Windows will sometimes say this prog is not properly installed but just ignore that and select it's properly installed)

Here's how to create a Desktop Shortcut by just clicking on the Desktop Icon and not via SixUpdater or Steam. Manually find your STEAM folder you need to

OPEN STEAMAPPS next COMMON next Arma 2 operation arrowhead in here you will find Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch .exe Copy or Create a shortcut and move it to your desktop, run this as administratorand you're done.

in here you will find BattlEye REPLACE file BEClient.dll with the one downloaded from the website

Do the same again in Arma 2 operation arrowhead next Expansion then BattlEye REPLACE file BEClient.dll with the one downloaded from the website

Another handy tip is to create a shortcut to your Steamapps folder on your desktop. Select the Steamapps folder right click and create shortcut this way. Then Simply Cut and paste it on your desktop.
