Ideas for high tier players/equipment, events/missions

Inspired by the dayz tournament thread, what if we did have events or modes that catered to team play and high tier equipment.

IN ADDITION TO REGULAR, AS IT IS NOW, AWESOME DAYZ!

I'm thinking of mission that clans/teams can choose to do. You would hear up in regular dayz, then join a match where you spawn with your stuff and have an objective. If you die, its just like regular dayz, you lose your stuff. Bu

If your win, or lose w/o dying, items aquired in the mission don't, (they could I suppose, but it could be unfair/abuseable), come back to regular dayz.

Example. DayZ: Escape.

2-4 teams race to find a helicopter and make it operational to escape chernarus. Success in escaping could be tracked via the leaderboard or some other means.

Just trying to think of was to "recycle" players that have "maxed out" thier survivors. Cause as it stands now, DayZ does reach a point where you say, "now what?" For many that what becomes sniping in cherno, etc.

I know this violates a lot of core ideas in DayZ so I stress... THIS WOULD BE COMPLETELY OPTIONAL AND SEPARATE FROM REGULAR DAYZ. DIFFERENT SERVERS, WON'T INTERFERE WITH CURRENT DAYZ PLAY. IT'S AN ALTERNATIVE, HOPEFULLY FUN, THING THAT YOU CAN CHOOSE TO DO.

I could see many ways to create fun vents for players with high tier equipment. Of course, if you like pvping, keep doing it, I do.

In this cases,Admins would be needed,and lot.But idea is nice only it is better that if you want to do it,your cahracter has to have some expirince ( zeds killed,miles travelled,murders ) so not all could hop in.

But as weekly events,it sounds promising :)

An m4 IS high tier equipment. If you only have to pull the trigger once it's high tier imho.

I'm trying to describe this as 'outside the sandbox' play dayz as it is. It's a blast. But when players get an m107,gps,nvgs, m4 cco SD, they tend to get bored hunting for more loot in dayz. So let em risk it all in. Ways that don't affect dayz and are a nice change of pace. Some will get killed and climb the loot ladder again to do things like this again.

Also, I prefer to stay in discussion. This idea is way too incomplete to be a suggestion. I want to discuss it with the community and try to build it into a solid idea that can be suggested.

Good grief.... I'm not suggesting tier systems. High tier was supposed to mean good, rare, equipment. In thruth you don't even need it in this idea. You could spawn with nothing. It would still work. I'm just suggesting it for players who have the good stuff and are getting bored.

There will never be any missions or quest in the game.

Rocket said it in yesterday's interview.

And it's a bad idea in the first place. To have missions you need invulnerable NPCs, to have NPCs you need safe zones (or people will just camp these npcs and kill everyone that approach), and DayZ will never have that because they're terrible.

I think the game definitely needs to offer players something to do once they get all geared up, so ideas like this are helpful.
