Would it be possible to force a weapons down stance?

Recommended Posts

I know you can lower your main gun, but not pistols. What I was thinking of was some way to force the lowered weapon stance to be default and skipping the aimed stance completely. As in, the only way to shoot would be to aim down the sights.

The reason why I would want this is so that when people first meet in the wild, they aren't pointing their weapons at each other by default. That way, you have a chance to react if you see his gun come up and point at you. I think this could lower the instances of shoot on sight as well.

I think this would be a great idea. Seeing as we're on the subject, how do you lower your main? Never figured that out, derp.

You can do a surrender stance, if you are mad enough given the sociopaths around you.

Good idea, certainly has a lot of merit in my opinion. However I seriously doubt that it's possible. You can certainly script stances for the AI and I've played some missions where, for instance in the briefing, certain positions, stances and movements of players, were scripted by the missionmaker, but during that stage you also lose control of your character. Once you regain control I don't think there is a way to force a stance without losing control...
