No Z or loot spawns when driving in a car

When i travel by car and arrive in a town there usually are no zombies around and i can't find any loot. Sometimes both seem to spawn with a bit delay but othertimes the zombies just appear(flicker) for a second at their spawnpoint and then vanish and there won't be any loot, no matter how long i wait. Is this a known bug, should i report it or is there a solution to this?

You have to wait a bit before the items spawn. Driving into an area with a vehicle has you enter the area too quick for spawns to initialize. Wait a few minutes. Should be good.
