As I try to download any beta patch it asks me for a username and password.

Try a different browser?

Try six launcher?

Try finding a link on the Arma 2 Beta Patch forums?

Find a link in DayZ forums to the beta patch?

Try logging in anonymously?

Try searching forums regarding the login information in the Arma 2 Beta Patch forums?

Have a friend that downloaded it send you the .zip?

Seems to do that when the FTP is overloaded. Keep trying and when a spot clears it will give you the file.
