Loot Spawns missing Loot

Since the last patch I haven't been able to find much loot. Sometimes I can enter buildings which usually have around 10 spots of loot (Cherno apartments) and I find nothing at all. Sometimes I'll be able to find 3 loot spots out of the usual 10 in the same building.

Is this just me? Is there a way to fix it?

P.S. It may be frowned upon, but I am currently using ARMA 2: Free and Arma 2: OA to play DayZ, no problems until now.

Do you play on low-populated or empty servers? It can be that the loot spawns just after a while and if there is no one in that area, there will be no loot ;)

Yep as Eppee said, try to find a medium/high populated server :>

I was on a server with 50/50 (ANZ 1) and I couldn't find anything at the Elektro supermarket and/or apartments. This is starting to become very annoying as it doesn't really allow for me to do anything 'cause I can't find anything. Also, this may just be because the players had logged out, but I heard lots of flies at the Elektro fire station and supermarket but I never seemed to find any dead bodies.
