Bobcomss 189 Posted July 20, 2012 Been talking to my brother recently about this game and I am looking back into my army survival days and one thing I was thinking about that could be added was the ability to mark your map. (once you find one and a pen/marker obviously)Like marking areas you have searched, if you pitched a tent, marking a rough area of where you are, obviously you wont know exact position but being able to scribble land marks and notes down could be helpful if new players and people are not proficient at reading maps.This could also mean if you loot someone you can see what notes they have put down and maybe find a tent they have pitched.I don't know how this could work so let me know your ideas about this?Cheers for reading AJ Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

nacrom 82 Posted July 20, 2012 DO NOT mark your in game map with your camp location!!! Other people on the server will see it on their own maps. Bobcomss 189 Posted July 20, 2012 Ok nice, I will give it a go! only had map couple times, I have an A3 print out but don't want to pen that up as I don't imagine my work will appreciate me going though 7 A3 colour prints a week :PIf it does show up on everyone's map, that's obviously bad! Every player around you will be able to see all markers on their map. It's a Coop-feature of Arma II and all survivors are in the same group. I was just thinking like a blue sharpie (because sharpies rock!) which you can control with your mouse and actully manually write stuff down (assuming the map is like a good old fold out one.This could also help when u got a buddy, one marks while other keeps watch.either way the map is still good, just like to add more realism into it :DAJ Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
