Tent Problems?

No matter where I go I have a problem finding "flat" land. Anybody else and any suggestions?

First time I placed one under a tree no problem. The thing was fkn invisible from a few yards away.

Tried placing one last night & took me 10 tries at 10 different locations before it would let me put it down.

Yeah I try to place them all over but it never lets me no matter what I do.

"Crouch and enter first person view, look at the ground ahead of you, press G to open your gear and try to place the tent. It wont work the first time, so move back a little step using your S key and try again while your gear window is still open. Try this like 5-10 times, works!

It is possible to place tents very close to trees, even under them, also, the area doesn't have to be perfectly flat."

Yeah that's true, I did the same ... placed it under the tree, but after server restarted I'm not able to get in. Do you have any tricks how to get in?

The tricky part is trying to access it once it's under that goddamn tree. Then the even trickier part is trying to access it after a server restart, once it's moved slightly and "settled"
