Don't be friendly with people - stay the hell away from them unless you have the upper-hand.

Friendships aren't often made in this game.

If you need to learn the controls, do the tutorial for Arma 2.

My wise word: trust no-one, 99.9% of survivors I've come across have killed me. If I were you I'd find some good weapons, get some supplies (ammo, bandages, food) and get the hello out of cherno or elektro!

You can always get in to touch with a clan if you want to play in a group, otherwhise stay away from humans.
