Daylight on all AUS/NZ servers.

Every server I join has the time set daytime during the late afternoon and through the start of the night (RL time).

WTF? Is everyone really that scared of the dark? Are the gamma options that well hidden? Am I the only one who doesn't mind the night?

Please server admins (in AUS and NZ at least), have your server run at normal time. Just one of them at least, this is beyond cowardly.

as far as i know most NZ servers are set to local time. 50% of aus servers are local time. so yes late afternoon would still be daylight.

i read this as i found NV goggles and can't use them because its daylight and i don't have an advantage.

I'm not sure what time zone you are in, but it looks as if a couple of them run on GMT+2. http://www.timeanddate.com/library/abbreviations/timezones/eu/cest.html

So that may be part of the reason. It also looks like some of the ANZ servers are owned by different people. So at least one of them might be on their own time zone.

I'm looking at the server list at the moment and the majority are either UTC +2 or +8. Others don't say at all what timezone they are in.

I don't have NV goggles BTW. Never found them and don't like.

That could be it. I know of some AUS/NZ players that run US servers too.

If you want to play nighttime, just join a US server. As a NZ Kiwi player I mostly play on US servers anyway and they not only load faster but you can always get a spot and you have the choice of day or night

I have tried that, but my only experiences involve getting kicked straight away for high ping (~180ms). I'll keep trying though.
