Question about teaming up with people.

So, in fear of the stickied rules in the "new player" forum, I'm asking this question here.

How the heck do you people call up your friend, and join the same server together?

I was on the phone with a friend, trying to join the same server. First of all, it was extremely rare(like 10 minute search in game list) to find the same server among the thousands of servers. Secondly, I have no way to(that I know of) to get back to that awesome Canadian(I'm not from Canada) server I found. How do you guys join the same server you found earlier without searching through 1000's of "US XXXX" servers? I mean, lots of them don't even load, so I don't even think that's a sure method of finding the same server every time I log on.

Anyway, if anyone can explain simply how to ensure you and a friend can join the same server to me(without 30 minutes of leg work), and how to ensure I can "save" or "find" the same server next time I play, I'd be much appreciative!!!

remember the name of the server, write it down.

Next time you play use the ingame filter or a launcher like 'Six Launcher' and type the server name in.

This will work the same when you wanna play with your mate.

1 of you picks the server, passes the name of it to you throught TS2, Vent, Skype, Mumble etc etc

You enter that name in the filter or Launcher and join servers.

For meeting up ingame you shud use an online map dayzdb.com/map.

You can only see your location when you spawn so make sure you both write it down and search for it on the online map.

There you can see and decide how you both shud run to meet up.

When you found an ingame map, some servers provide your positiion on the ingame map, others dont.

I like what you have to say about sixlauncher, but the in-game filter doesn't allow this, does it?

you can use both. I use six launcher to start up my games.

Its abit more clear and less chaotic then the ingame lists + it also tracks for you if there are updates needed for DayZ to work.
