Playing dayz and arma 2 mods?

Recommended Posts

Recently a lot of servers that run dayz run new beta versions of arma 2 oa. I don't mind this but most of the arma 2 servers, CTI, Domination, ACE that I used to enjoy playing on demand an older version of arma 2. The new versions do not seem to be backwards compatible so installing dayz patches seems to render arma obsolete for other online play.

Is there a way to install two versions of arma or separate the folders into an arma 2 folder and dayz folder? (I'm using the steam version).

Launching the game from Steam will get you in as it starts non beta. Don't use the six updater to launch if that's what your doing.

1.61 rc3 will pork ur install.

Try this:

copy your arma install folders and user folder.

just rename them when your switching back and forth between the 1.61 and 1.60.

you could even write a batch file to do this quickly.

sry about post as im on my phone.
