Camera Issues

Recommended Posts

Long story short, after a couple days of trial and error a friend of mine can finally run DayZ through Parallels on his Mac.

There's just one problem; his camera is stuck pointing down at the ground. If he reverses his Y axis it points him at the sky and no amount of struggling can get his camera to do anything but pivot on the spot.

Has anyone else encountered a bug like this? Anyone know enough about Macs to offer any insight? Any and all help is appreciated and will be rewarded with cookies and/or a firm slap on the ass.

Thank you!~

Edit: Fixed by switching to Bootcamp

What kind of mouse is a using? I would imagine Arma is being confused by the mouse input ( if he is using the touchpad mac mouse or something similar ). I would try using a regular usb mouse and see what happens.

Sorry, I forgot that bit. He actually is using a USB Logitec mouse if I remember correctly. He also tried removing the mouse itself and using the touchpad which failed to change anything.

I had this problem, but it's fairly easy to fix.

You need to change Parallels into coherence mode, then go into the 'devices' list and select the mouse that you're using. This'll make that mouse invisible but you'll still be able to use the trackpad (im assuming you're using that), so use that until you get into a game, then you can use the other mouse from the device list
