Progress storing method?

I was playing DayZ, and my brother wanted to play too, I told him to use his arma 2 profile instead of mine to play....well, despite him having a different name, when he joins, the server uses my progress instead of creating his own!

So I am guessing instead of using names, it uses IP or CD Key to store your progress instead! So, is there any way for him to have his own save?

It's GUID Based, as in CD-Key based.

Well im cant ever play this mod again then because he will just fuckup my progress whenever he wants to play. I ma the one who bought the game and I know for a FACT that hes not going to get his own copy just so I can play.
