focalfury 2 Posted July 19, 2012 So me and my friend have been playing DayZ together and working together from town to town.Both of us actually play DayZ in the same physical room IRLI loaded into a server one day and then he came in just a bit after. While waiting for him I was looking at the spot I knew he'd spawn into the server at.His screen showed 'waiting for character to create' but he was actually in the server with me and his charecter was standing straight up, it stood there for about 10-15 seconds and then his screen showed 'setup completed please wait'Only then did his charecter revert to his prone position that he logged out with the previous time.We've since started logging out in places that we can remain hidden upon logging in the next session or time we play but it is a bit worriesome.I'm not sure if during that loadin time if we are able to be shot...but you stick out like a sore thumb for around 5-15 seconds while not having control of your player.I searched for this and did not see anyone post about this.I guess this is more of a "hey rocket do you know about this" since there is truly nothing the player can do to avoid this. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Whenever I can help it I log off between two pine trees so I stay hidden until I am actually in game.EDIT*This is avoidable, don't log off in locations that would allow you to easily be seen.I wouldn't sleep in the middle of a street if I didn't want to be seen. It turned out to be me so we had a laugh :P Its a littel sad and should be fixed because if you log on with high lvl gear and you arent "playing" so you cant shoot back and so on it would be a pain in the ass for the guy who is joining the game.But we had a laugh :P Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I've killed someone in the Barracks that spawned in one of the rooms. I screamed like a little girl and unloaded on him until I knew he couldn't possibly be alive anymore.
