I never saw a thread about stuff like this so thought i make one instead of all the Negativity of PvP and downward spiral of Kos.

I travelled along the forest on the coast on my Day 20 and its getting boring without getting me killed a stupid way or in high traffic areas but i wanted some kind a fresh start.

Looking for some fresh Spawns without weapon.

Not to kill them. To help them.

They are the only one i give a minimum of my trust.

Not long and a ''chick' comes running at me with a little train.

I get cover, switch to my pistol, finish them all off and saved her ass. she was a he and Russian.

Yes there are young Russian people with good manners i had to find out ;) Ty @Pavel

He followed me i gave him my hatchet for the first 5 minutes later my makarov from the backback and promised i would give him my AK with 2 mags and my compass when i leave.

I thought he would kill me to demonstrate that he doesnt except my gift and just take it.

But we travelled more north, had some good fights with Z's, teaching him movemnt, alt looking etc. looted some places and had a good time.

He just played for an hour and allready was pretty good.

I held my word and dropped my stuff for him when i had to leave.

Feels good to do some good deed and i hope he will carry it on.

ps: i find this style much more exciting then bujah i snipez noob from the hills.

I haven't seen anybody that has seen me yet, but when I do I really hope that they are friendly so we can adventure together. I'm having trouble finding the right buildings to loot so a helping hand would be great, also someone to get my back while we're looting :)

@worrun: i feel ya :). it helps looting with the back to the corner/wall and facing up during the delay of opening the gear menu.

I will definitely keep that in mind mate, if there is space to do so that is what I have been doing when I do find loot (I haven't found many loot locations/spots) incase the Zombies hit my ass through the wall lol :D

i respawned and was about to take my usual route out of kamenka when i saw another survivor, i didnt see he had a gun so i just said hi and asked if we should team up. he didnt shoot me right away, so i was already happy. as he didnt respond i got into the forest, he followed me, so i stated that i want to help him if he's new, told him how to write. to be more trustworthy i had no weapon and equipment in my backpack and so on. in fact i did find a new player, so i led him to the deer stands north of kamenka but we got separated too soon. those zombies were really attentive, didn't await that. in the end he had no ammo left, so i tried to get that zombies atraction that he could survive, but then i lost them both.

wasnt very helpful i guess, but at least he survived that last zombie ;)

now im going to try that again

The other day I ran into two different newly spawns. They both had axes did not think about killing them I had an akm. The next thing I know they started to swing at me, thank god i was still moving they missed but my akm did not. So chalk up another 2 murders on me, I am a bandit now, my friends i play with can point at me and here there heartbeat. I tried to help people but if you come at me raise your gun and point at me I shoot then. On a side note i was running up the coast saw a guy swarmed with zombies all he had was a double barrel. Pulled out the akm mowed down the zombies, I was reloading when he turned to me and put 2 in my chest Big sigh

I did try to do a good deed two days ago... It didn't quite go as planned...

I saw an unarmed guy running out of kamyshovo, bleeding and, having some 10 zeds on his tail. Since I was there on the hillside, decided to help the man out by shooting some zeds when he was running past me. I take the first shot at a zed... And umm... The guy apparently got spooked by the shot, because immediately he turns 180 - and straight into the horde of zeds. The zeds drop him unconscious almost instantly.

...Damn. That wasn't the plan.

At that point I already knew there was no way I could shoot all of the approximately 10 zeds in time before he would be finished. I couldn't just spam there or I'd just end up finishing him off accidentally and just waste ammo (even though it might have been more merciful)... So I take aim and shoot one zed.. shoot another... And when I shoot the third, I see the message say the guy is killed. He's gone, but just to have some decency for the dead, I shoot 2 more zeds that are crouched over the body. The rest just stay idling around him.

I really just tried to help. I didn't mean to spook the guy to go and get killed by the zeds. Sometimes trying to help someone can be just damn difficult. :D

Well, to make up, today I managed to save some 2 guys equipped with nothing but flashlights from a bandit that started shooting at them. The bandit had not noticed that I was standing there in the darkness less than 50 meters right behind him - he was apparently so lured in by the other guys' flashlights.

After giving the bandit a few well earned shots to the back, I lurked around for a while, later to see one of the flashlight guys getting chewed by a zed while the other could do nothing but stand by and point the flashlight at the scene of horror.

Popped a few rounds to the zed to save the guy. Then went and gave him a blood transfusion because he apparently had a few hundred health left and kept going unconscious. After that, I went back to lurking around in the darkness and had some fun shooting the zeds from around them as they moved on. It was fun while it lasted, but unfortunately ended by the server doing some sudden mystery kick for several players.

Much more fun helping around - or at least trying and sometimes causing just the opposite - than it is to just collect beans and get bored at the small villages.

I'll just try to keep my helping limited to the unarmed ones.. The guys with the guns, I don't trust them enough to help them - I know how that would end.
