You payed for arma 2 not dayz, rocket could charge whatever he wants. Dayz is bonus when you bought arma 2. So you did not pay a cent for dayz, even if you currently paid 20$ for arma 2.

Arma 2 =/= Dayz

if you throw some common sense onto it, Rocket does not make anything off Dayz, has not made a single penny, and so if he wants the Stand Alone to succeed and he needs to pay for people to make it, then it has to be sold.

As he has said countless times he likes the Minecraft model, so I expect something like that.

Minecraft was released in beta (maybe alpha idk) and you paid $20 for it, then you got it, for life, for all updates. Its not really "Minecraft Model" its just more familiar to say it like that, im sure you know what Minecraft is right?

Do I sense sarcasm? I hope so considering I only payed $24 where I can only assume you played $50+ when it was released hahaha!

In any event, DayZ is totally worth the $24 bucks. I hope that a standalone is released, if its under the Minecraft type payment model you can have my money to alpha/beta test!

The only thing I hope doesnt happen is when Arma3 comes out that Rocket doesnt stop working on DayZ using the Aram2 engine because I dont really want to buy another ArmA that I wont play. But in the end Ill have to do what ever I need to keep playing.

Yes you will have to buy DayZ when it launches. It will be a stand alone game and not a mod of a game unless Rocket changes his mind. How much it will be is anyones guess.
