DayZ is not ARMA.

I can run ARMA 2 on Max, but I seem to have trouble with DayZ on high.

I got specifications lower than that and it runs. Sure I don't enjoy best graphics while playing and some lags here and there but it works. So yes, you should be able to play on those specifics.

I've got a duo core 2.66GHz and have some trouble running it. Give it a try with arma 2 free, it's possible afaik?

its still same, its just server issues as well as some modding elements can cause like (like animal and zombie paths in previous patches).

DayZ is RUNNING on ARMA2.. Its a mod..

So if you CAN run Arma2, you CAN run DayZ. ;)
