Only times I have found anyone friendly (except friends from steam) is when we spawn together at the beach, I ask them if they want to team up.. otherwise there has only been snipers shooting me.

What your doing right here is the best way to make friends. talk to people look for a team to join.

I've been playing for a month and I've only met people who claim to be friendly until they think they have the upper hand. Now I shoot on sight anyone with a weapon. If I meet someone that doesn't have a weapon I will offer them beans and soda then tell them to bugger off.

Ok , some may call it weak , but remember this was the second day i had the game , now i know its frowned up on and i don't do it anymore

And i didn't do the alt f4 i just quit playing for that day .

i have met a ton of really nice people in dayz by just talking and being friendly. yes sometimes you will die for trying to be friendly but you would be surprised how many friendly people there are out there. just run along the coast for about 2 hours and you will find a friendly person. its really rare up in the north tho as evryone has good gear they dont want to loose
