My character keeps resetting if I join a server

Yesturday, I couldn't play the game at all due to a problem involving this

"You were kicked off the game. (BattlEye: Client not responding"

After being able to fix it though, I keep experiencing this problem where if I join a server, I always have to start a new character, which for some reason ignores the character I had before.

I currently have ArmA2_OA_Build 95099
