I wasnt playing that much but since last 1.7xx then I started playing actively again and almost every night I came across a crash site (with no NVG or any other thermal weapon - rangefinder. I only came across m107's, m249 saw, m14) so... im thinking.. cheaters found a way to spawn crash sites? Like I said I came across almost 20 crash sites since weekend. And no range finders nor nvg - any kind of thermal scoped weapon. Also zombie alive / total count seems "bugged" like alive 3 total 500 zombies every time on those crash site servers.Anyone finding too many crash sites lately? Kurian 4 Posted July 19, 2012 No, but I did find a crash site on server restart at NW airfield earlier this morning. As my buddy and I scouted the site out, a van with two scrubs drove by it and parked in the tree stands north of the airfield. I had my buddy go steal their van while I secured the crash site and I subsequently killed both of them as they were sneaking up on the heli. The interesting thing is this happened like 10 minutes after server restart, and it seemed like they knew the crash site was going to be there just the way they were behaving. Might have been coincidence, who knows, we were there looking for engine and fuel tank parts for an ATV near by. Just never seen someone drive a vehicle so brazenly through the NW airfield, then loop around the north end and park it. They were probably just scrubs with a van, but then again they were both decked out with gear too. Oh, the kicker is the server restarted about 10 minutes after I killed both of them so it could apply a new beta patch. That made me....exceedingly angry. metal (DayZ) 46 Posted July 19, 2012 I don't think that something was changed regarding their spawn rate, it is just luck. Sometimes I find 2-3 crashed helis per day, my record is 5. Sometimes I go for a week without finding a single one. Regarding some guys knowing where crash sites are - I think it is possible, as some server admins are quite corrupted. Server restart right after killing at a crash site is not uncommon, happened at least twice to me and both times after the restart I had no gear I picked up right before.
