OddGamer 17 Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) are there way more Bandits then there are Survivors. I played a full day about 2 days ago, My very first time playing too. The only friendlys' I ever met up with are always at the shore when we first spawn and were both lost/have minimal amount of equipment. Other then that I got use to the cities of Chreno and Elektro. Every time I scavenged almost the whole city. I get killed by a camping bandit, but its a good thing that im just a starter and I learn these things quick, that certain area's also have there percentage of death lootage, and its at my own risk. Aswell as I am new I havn't really collected a worthy backpack amount of equipment just yet. I did find a tent once though :), and I robbed it haha, I don't even understand the point of the tent thing, unless that is what you need to store extra belongings? or is that how you save your player ? Scene 36 Posted July 19, 2012 I'm not even sure how many kills a person needs to become a bandit. I've been told things like giving blood transfusions and stuff raise your humanity level but I have no idea what humanity level people start on.Out of the 40+ player kills I have on my current character only 1 is a bandit kill, that includes killing snipers camping NWAF, a guy trying to get the jump on me and a buddy in our PBX at the north end of the map and 2 guys camping the hills overlooking Elektro killing people in the town. Not one of them showed as a bandit kill. My bandit kill came from a fresh spawn player at the south airfield that tried to kill me and a friend that I had come down to help get geared. s.taylor.75@gmail.com 23 Posted July 19, 2012 There is a lot more people that will try to kill you than won't. Whether they have reached bandit status or not is another story. That's why the bandit statistics on the main page are useless, nothing more than trivia. They outnumber "survivors" for sure.
OddGamer 17 Posted July 19, 2012 survivors definitely need to turn the tables around here, and how are we going to do that? Let em have a taste of there own medicine, by completely manipulating their mind, and attacking them from the rear, so they know what goes up... just rips you a new glory whole that takes you straight to ground zero. Kythia 25 Posted July 19, 2012 There are actually people who don't shoot on sight? Are there any special servers for this?

The first encounter I had the survivor actually killed a zombie chasing me. I havent gone into the big cities yet as I understand that is where a lot of pvp happens, so I just dont get why people are having so much trouble. I get killed by Zeds way more than Bandits/KoS'ers

If people are killing other players with any regularity at all, they will be bandits. Period. You don't get to write off the stats just because they don't happen to match up with your assumptions and preconceptions. The vast majority of players in the game are survivors. That's an inarguable fact. Edited July 19, 2012 by ZedsDeadBaby

That's an inarguable fact.Actually, I agree with him that the bandit "mindset" is far more popular (and justified to an extent). Sure, the statistics say there are more survivors than bandits, but I think there are too many factors to make that representative of how many players there are that play with a bandit mindset; many wannabe bandits might not have reached the threshold (to my knowledge, 5 kills without any "kind acts" such as transfusions, etc.), and bandits that die and respawn are obviously not to be trusted but don't retain their status. OddGamer 17 Posted July 19, 2012 Well I guess I just havn't had any luck yet Here is another Is it just me.....or is playing without volume a whole lot better. Like I just got my G35 headset, it required me to completely start windows from new and buy W7 Home Premium not the upgrade but the whole thing because of this complex Windows Installer Service crap. What a headache, I literally worked on my computer for 12 hours yesturday and I had to redownload Arma CO for the third time already. Anyway i'll see what its like with these new puppies once I download Six Updater and away I go. Let me know your experiance/benefits of using a headset/ volume at all
