"connecting failed"

I just bought ARMA2: CO

It's via Amazon so not through steam

I downloaded all the latest files

I created the @dayz folder in this folder

"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2"

and in there I made @dayz

then Addons

so it looks like this

C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\@dayz\Addons

then I made a shortcut and put "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2OA.exe" -nosplash -mod=@dayz

every game I try to join says connecting failed.. and to the far left there are red Xs

what do I do : ( my friend and I can't get it wrong

I cannot get mine updated to Version 1.6, every time i go to extract to my AO folder it says the installation was corrupt. Thus I cannot log on to the dayz servers as well.

Run the game with no mods. Just have to see the menu. Exit. Then install patch 1.60.

Another thread stated it didn't put the files into the @DayZ/addons

Are your launch options correct?
