items when dropped !

Hope this has not been answered before . . . . . but

when you say find a item say ammo put it in your gear run up to the next town, run out of space in your gear so you drop it next to a tree not in a spawn spot will it be there again or will it disappear from the server ?

it will stick around for approx 30 minutes, unless your on a slope and it will glitch under the map

If the server restarts after you drop it I am sure that it will just disappear, it is not worth the risk.
