Building Collapse?

Recommended Posts

So, it was night time and a couple friends and I were in a house inside of a small town, and we wanted to get to the other side of town. So, having found a good cache of supplies, we decided to intentionally aggro some of the Zombies and just take them out inside of the house to help us navigate to the other side of the town. All went according to plan until the last zombie. He was kinda stuck behind the house and was trying to attack us through the wall. So my friend took one shot (winchester) and hit the wall by accident. Immediately, myself and my other buddy noticed the floor had completely changed. But before we could really say anything, our friend took another shot. This time the entire house had changed. There were piles of wood and debris all over the floor. Somehow, we managed to escape. Upon leaving the house, we realized it had partially collapsed.

Has anyone else run into this before? Do all buildings have "health"? Was it the gun that did the damage? The zombie? Both?

Anyways, thought it was pretty sweet. Especially the idea of (semi)permanently changing a town on a server. Cool stuff.

Buildings do collapse in vanilla, normally with explosives.

I've heard that buildings have overall "health" though, which can be chipped away with regular ol' rifle rounds.

I think all the buildings in Chernarus are destroyable, you just need big enough gun...Probably wasn't intended for the zombies to do it (something with the way they deal scripted damage?), but it's fun when it happens :)

recognise the sight? What Chernogorsk looks after 80kT nuclear explosion...
