DE 10, some interesting occurances.

first and foremost, DE10 ftw - best server out there. best admin as well.

i will donate as soon as i can spare a few bucks. if you play there, you should do so too!

so some weeks ago on DE10, on patch 1.7.1.5, i found a tent city with 14 tents in one straight row, obviously duped.

every single tent filled to the max with all sorts of absolute endgame material. an endless supply of

as50, l85, gps, nvg, rangefinder, ghillie suits, every possible car part, looked like a base camp for a duping/hacking clan.

few days later not much of it was left. it wasn't in the most clever spot on the map D:

anyways, yesterday at NWA, around 9PM GMT+2, we had hostile contact with at least about 10 different players, presumably all

from the same group/clan. one guy was riding his bike across the airfield, likely in hope to draw some fire.

we killed 7 of them, they killed 6 of us. over a span of like one hour, maybe less.

all fine and dandy.

our remaining two guys made their hold out in the warehouse close to one of the baracks,

when suddenly one sniper spawned inside, he got a free teleport to the coast.

they had the advantage, with all their gear, menpower and experience (half of our group hasn't been in a fight like that yet)

we were under siege and our position was weakened with every guy we lost.

still they had to ghost to win, and failed. our guys just left the server at that time, no point in fighting cheaters.

we got more kills anyways, and most of us already reequiped, in my book it is our win.

who cares anyways. the experience was more then worth it.

but most interestingly, and here comes the punchline, why i post all this.

all of them but one or two wore ghillie suits and most of them had either as50 or l85.

coincidence? given the ultra rare spawn of these weapons, i found it rather odd to meet such a large group with this equip

on the same server where we found these tents...

i have a screenshot of players that were on at that time, only one clan tag found... they say you always meet twice :>

then again, maybe it was in fact coincidence, or we encountered two different groups at once,

or your guns were in fact legit and the ghoster was just a server hopper, who knows.

no harsh feelings, just wanted to share.

maybe someone can reply here and clear some things up :D

Its a glitch caused by the tents duping themselves and whatevers in them. Its a flaw that most clans have learnt and now use to have an infinite stock of over-powered guns/gear.

Survival mod LOL.

the tents had slightly different contents each. but duping is duping, doesn't matter how.

and its not the mod's fault, its the engine and the people abusing its flaws.
