StrayWolf 1 Posted May 22, 2012 The problem with the game that will perpetuate constant PvP is that there really isn't any incentive to cooperate with other players. The closest thing would be to rebuild a chopper or a vehicle...big deal. There has to be a justified reason, a co-dependency between players, that will incentivate them them to band together and not kill each other. Unfortunately, I don't think the game engine presents itself to provide this. So...PvP forever! The one with the most loot held the longest wins! :pbonus: if you don't have your bandit skin yet' date=' you could make them give you that blood transfusion and shoot them in the face afterwards. :)[/quote']That's even more cruel then just shooting them and looting the body.I want a reverse transfusion...vampire-style! Shoot them to weaken them...and then suck their blood out of them. LOL

It's easier to murder others and run around lone wolf style.
sleepless 22 Posted May 22, 2012 To be honest the day of the bandit is coming to an end. It was always a noob thing anyway, people falling for 'chopper' marked on the map, bothering to say 'friendly' at all, just worked on new players.Once skins are gone there will be a very brief period of learning, then its trust no one except people you recognise. Everyones a bandit come the change.

Karko (DayZ) 2 Posted May 23, 2012 I usually just ask for help nearby while staying out of sight, if it's at night I'll even throw a few flares down away from my position to lure them towards me. I'm not just hunting survivors though, the point is to lure bandits there too, they usually can't resist the idea of a survivor dropping flares along the coast. It was this tactic that actually won me my NVG's when a bandit went to loot the corpse sitting next to a flare I'd dropped. seannybgoode 10 Posted May 23, 2012 Side chat is a great way to get people to do stupid stuff.I was on a hill with my CZ in a prime position. My targets weren't doing what I wanted them to so I said in side chat "hey any friendlies in such and such town? I'm approaching the long barn, heard some shots"They don't respond, and sneak out to try to get the jump on that poor honest survivor and little do they know they've left me with a perfect shot.I managed to take out one of them with my CZ before I got bored and greedy and went for the corpse (before I should have).. .Point is, it's easy to get people to do stupid stuff if you're smart about it. Pat_the_Bunny 4 Posted May 23, 2012 As a survivor, I can tell you preying on people's naivete is far more efficient than gaining their trust. I don't know how many times I've seen people asking for friendlies to group up in Cherno/Electro, some responds with "I'm friendly. Meet me at the church/school/firstation and we'll head out.", and a few moments later the plebes are raging about being lead into a trap.

Strangelove 0 Posted May 23, 2012 After the past few days, I'm more likely to trust a guy in a bandit skin than I am a survivor. I've been shot in the back by too many survivors over the past few days. Hell, I'm probably going to be in a bandit skin soon because I've just started shooting on sight if another survivor spots me. Most bandits I've run across just looking for gear and move on. At least most bandits will shoot you in the face like a man.Just know that if I kill you, It's not malice or me being a sociopath, it's ensuring my own survival.
