Zheiko (DayZ) 10 Posted July 19, 2012 Hi guys,So how is it with spawning items in this game? I am playing for third day, my I'd say tenth character, and I have come across 1(by words ONE) handgun with 1magazine, and that was about it, since then I find myself desperate for finding any weapon, I find a lot of other gear, I found Alice Backpack twice, I was able to cook, I was able to cut the trees, but no weapon...At the begining, I was spending a lot of time on south coast, and found its impossible to find anything in there, those are quiet big towns, with possible chance of finding something, but you have to be faster than others, and when I am crowling slowly through zombie zone, and then I just see another guy runing like hell next to me taking attention of three zombies and then just shoots them and stealing whatever I might have found in that building I was just heading to, is making me to want to leave that place, so I decided to go a little north, found a Barn, and guess what, nothing to be found in there that would have any use... At that moment my girlfriend came home from work, so I had to log off, so I went back to the barn and logged off, today morning, I was thinking that if I log in, I might find something usefull there, so I logged in, and there was nothing. Why is that? am I just extremely unlucky, or there is just some way, that items disappear before player logs into that place, to prevent 'cheeky' players from getting on good spawn point and then just log to different servers and pickup their gear?(would make acutally sense, and I would be glad if it was like this)thanks for answer Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
norreka 45 Posted July 19, 2012 If you log in on a spawn location where no player was before there wont be loot. If 2 min ago a player ran through it there will be loot. Loot doesnt spawn all over the map one time. It spawns if a player gets near.My personal note for you is: join servers which are not full or with 50 players and search cities north or east.
