Six Launcher Update Issue Fix [Beta 95099]

Recommended Posts

Pro-Tip: In the future you can try DayzCommander (New launcher around town) and also make sure you know what Six Launcher is doing when you hit "Update".

If you use the Six Launcher to launch DayZ than you most likely recieved an update today. It may have caused you to experience one of two problems when attempting to join a server: "Wait for Host" or "BattleEye Initialization Failed"

Six Launcher pushed the new beta and you have been updated to: Arma2_OA_Beta_95099 ~ Download ~ Changelog

I have tested with three people and the following steps seem to resolve the issue.

1. Download the following BEClient.dll which is for versions higher than 94945:

http://www.battleye....61/BEClient.dll

2. Copy the BEClient.dll to these two directories:

[steam Install 64-Bit Machine]

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye

[steam Install 32-Bit Machine]

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye

[AppData - You will need to view hidden files and folders]

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\BattlEye

Edit: (Thanks to Jean Jacques Serrault) It seems a similair thread with more information already exist and can be accessed here. My post strictly provides instructions for users who installed Arm2OA through Steam and received an update by Six Launcher to a beta version higher than 94945.

Additional information about this error and others can also be found in this thread created by LVG [DayZ Forum Team]: Error Fixes

Some people got error from the BEClient.dll located at C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\BattlEye. It seems like the .dll in that folder doesn't update when the new patch applied. I also experienced so many errors since patch 94444 and I need to search the entire forum to find the fix until I can play again.

C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\BattlEye

Just use %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\BattlEye

If you do the above C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\BattlEye it will end up trying to look for a directory that doesn't exist.

It will do this.

C:\Users\C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\BattlEye

So I do not have the final folders, the game folders, instead they are .ncf files?

How do I fix this, so I can manually update.

edit: I'm an idiot, forgot to enter the common folder.

edit2: Did this and it works. Thanks!
