Strange Experience

I was overlooking electro, saw 3 people sneaking around. Two of these guys split up, I killed one, the other got away, but I saw this guy was a guile suit on and a g36 camo. For 5 minutes I snuck around looking for him, lost track of him in trees. Then suddenly we walked by each other without realizing it, at least I didn't notice him, I heard a chain noise? Then I looked to my right and saw him sneaking through 12-15 feet away from me, for 2 seconds starred? We starred at each other, then I fired one shot from my sniper rifle killing him, he didn't fire at me, so I would think he would get me first with a G36.

I thought it was a bit of an odd experience and suprised he did not kill me, must be lucky; would have tried to hunt other guy down, but server restarted. :(

whats the chain noise meant to signify? i hear it all the time but was under the imporession it was just atmospheric. though i have noticed it even whilst in the middle of woods.
