Camping Tent Question

Okay so I have tried to find the answer to my question. Does anyone know if once you pitch a tent in the original server, if you can jump into a different server and play for a while, then come back to original server and access your tent. The reason I am asking is because my friends prefer playing with crosshairs and the server my tent is in doesn't have them. Hopefully someone knows the answer, thanks!

Tents are bound to the server you pitch them on...problem is, servers disappear faster than your gear.

Thanks guys it's good to know that I can play on other serves and still access my tent on my "home" server.
