opjohnny 2 Posted May 20, 2012 I'm trying to figure out how to set DayZ to windowed mode in a resolution I want, or have the ability to resize the window. So far it seems like the only way to run my non-steam install in windowed mode is to choose windowed from the game's resolution list which makes it a small little box on my 22" widescreen and doesn't offer me the ability to click and drag the edges to resize it myself. All the solutions I found for Arma 2 or Arma2 OA don't seem to work with DayZ.So is there a way to run this game in a window resolution of my choosing, or make it so I can drag the edges to resize the window? I want to be able to run it as a 1440x900 window on my main screen like I do with all my other games. If it matters I purchased the combo pack from Amazon and use the SIX updater to launch DayZ. opjohnny 2 Posted May 20, 2012 It seems after I click "ok" on the video options screen the game has to restart but did it in fullscreen even though I had applied windowed mode. I then reset it to windowed mode and clicked "ok" again but this time it gave me a resizable window and didn't make me reboot. After doing something else in another area of the main menu I had to restart the game again, and it went right back to fullscreen. Is there any way I can have a shortcut for DayZ that I can add target commands to, or a .cfg I can edit, so the game is forced to start in windowed 1440x900 mode?yep' date=' just run game and press alt+enter on selection server screen[/quote']For some reason whenever I start a game in fullscreen mode it screws with stuff on both of my desktops, including my rainmeter theme which is a HUGE pain to re-arrange/align. secret1962 0 Posted May 20, 2012 You can put -window in the parameters of the shotcurt you use. Not sure if you can resize it anyway.
