Tsyn 215 Posted July 18, 2012 I run around 12-15 FPS in most areas in Chernarus, and I was wondering why we're not allowed to use any FPS Helper mods? With FPS helper, I normally jump to around 35-50 FPS in Chernarus, and it's LOVELY. I'm not sure how FPS helper could give an advantage, and I mention that because that's the only reason I could think that FPS helper would not be allowed...So this thread is asking a reason why we're not allowed to use it now, will be able to use it in the future, or are there any other mods or ways to improve FPS? suspense 210 Posted July 18, 2012 Because once keys are allowed, theres no way of disallowing certain mods that could give you an advantage

suspense 210 Posted July 18, 2012 Sorry, that makes hardly any sense to me ._.In order for a clientside mod to be "allowed" on a server, the "key" that validates that mod must be enabled on the server, else you wont be allowed to connect to the server. If we are allowed to enable keys on the servers, theres no end to what keys people will allow. And the only way to check if a key for a mod thats disallowed, is enabled, is for a DayZ staff or other member to install that mod, and see if they can join the server. Tsyn 215 Posted July 19, 2012 So in other words you're saying that FPS Helper will never be allowed? Bummer...What about some suggestions on getting better FPS? I use Gamebooster, low settings & resolution, but I'm open to nearly any suggestions.
HooDoo (DayZ) 0 Posted July 19, 2012 Upgrade your hardware maybe? Using another software program to try and get better performance is just clogging your system down by using even more resources that could be better used by your own system.
