Environmental Damage to player

Recommended Posts

So, after the 106 time i crawled into a doorway and fractured my leg, i got to thinking how this could be a feature. i mean, not through door ways but through other things. a bit later after bleeding out due to the homicidal door and zombies, and on my next character, at a dead spring through the forest in the pitch black dead of night i was just amazed how i hadn't sprained my ankle or tripped or anything, and neither had the zombies chasing me. you are only punished when using lights, often too much. i think to add a feature that could utilize the bug that is breaking bones due to the environment could be used to add incentive for players to use light sources whilst running through the forest's at a dead sprint in the night.

basically, i think that during certain times, a character could hurt himself in some way that would cause himself to slow down and take it easy. maybe not to the extreme of a fracture to where now they are crawling, but perhaps pain, shock, things like that. add a feature that is "tripping" and force the character to go prone.

this would be annoying, of course, but i think it would add a whole new level of thought for those of us that play at night to avoid dangerous survivors.

just a thought, anyone else think something like this would be interesting, or a way to make this more interesting.

+1 agree, fed up with just running on uneven ground and being on balance all the time, Imagine this Scenario: You are running over a field and 5 zombies are chasing you, you decide to run into a forest you start sprinting and trip over a tree root......Your F****ed! :D

exactly, the likely hood this happening could be gone if the player has a light source or something. it would also trip zombies i was thinking.
