DayZ is glitching out?

Ok, so I bought Arma mainly for DayZ but I also wanted to try some of the regular base game stuff like the campaigns and what not, the game works great if DayZ isnt installed but every time I try to install DayZ and play the base content of Arma 2:CO, the game gives me an error saying that half of the models cannot be found. I didnt know if this was the right place to turn but because its caused by DayZ I thought it would be.

I have also noticed some weird behaviour lately. Disabling the beta patch and DayZ, in the expansion menu seemed to fix it. (Not sure which part has to be disabled tho, so just do both)

Oh that sucks, I was hoping there would be a fix that wouldnt involve me having to restart Arma every time I wanted to switch between DayZ and vanilla.
