Can't Join Own Server?

Recommended Posts

Hey all

Second slightly confused topic in 24 hours. I managed to get my server launching properly, broadcasting via GameSpy properly etc, however I can't seem to connect to it properly. I can get to the lobby, try and join the game, and then it'll kick me out with the "This server is running an incorrect version..." message. I've manually updated all the DayZ .pbo files to 1.7.2.3, ran the 95054 beta updater, and I've also updated Battleye. I've also opened ports 2302, 2303, 2305 and 3306 on my firewall for both UDP and TCP.

I have found this error in the RPT file:

NetServer::SendMsg: cannot find channel #1111143318, users.card=1
NetServer: users.get failed when sending to 1111143318
Message not sent - error 0, message ID = ffffffff, to 1111143318 (<no>)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I'm currently in the process of getting a server set up, and thought I'd try to track down a list of ports to open up in my firewall when I found your post.

Thought I'd point out that opening up 3306 is risky, as it gives people access to your DB. Probably want to lock that back down.

I know exactly what port 3306 is and does - I'm an experienced Linux administrator. I found a post by the staff somewhere that said it needed to be reachable to contact the Hive (not sure why), so I opened it anyway just in case, although it made no difference.
