killashrub324815@gmail.com 18 Posted July 18, 2012 (edited) I have a few suggestions Ive been thinking of some may or may not of been mentioned before.Add female zombies. Add kid zombies that are very eery. Focus on making them the freaky ones.Make zombies drop things that people would actually have on them......For instance Men and Women zombies should have a great chance to drop a Watch or painkillers by like 50% Also a 25% chance or so to drop matches or a knife and a slim 1% 5% or 10% chance or so to drop a Makarov or Revolver with 1 magazine of ammo (concealed carry is kinda commonish.) Kid zombies I can see having a can of soda or a bag of potato chips I can also see maybe a compass being rare on a kid.Doing this will add variety of zombies we are killing and also adding in more realism and desire to kill zombies.I would also really like to see a stamina bar so we cannot run for miles and miles and miles. In my opinion it would make vehicles more desirable for travel and not just storage. Also adding a stamina system to the bicycle would be nice. So it will not make the bike the GO TO way to travel. Also to compensate make the zombies have jogging speed or maybe a little less instead of zipping around but increase there numbers by a lot. Doing this would in my opinion make people want to work together a lot more. Ok now lets say you are camping on top of a building in elektro with 100 rounds of ammo. You see a dude with an AK. You shoot him and 20 zombies aggro and come to you. No big deal, you shoot them all and loot the dead guy. But if elektro being a high item drop place and it now instead has 2000 zombies littering the streets and you somehow made it to the city by yourself and onto the top of the building. If you see a dude with an AK........will you really shoot? Lets say you don't. And you yell to him "Yo dude up here!" Will he want to shoot you? Maybe. But the chances that guy wants to aggro 2000 zombies will be slim considering the numbers and the distance someone can RUN. So maybe you guys join up. You guys can now take on lets say 300 zombies with the ammo you guys have. Maybe moving to a smaller town with less drop rates but only 100 zombies would be a better idea. Item spawns in smaller towns and places would need to be changed to make smaller cities more desirable to loot to build up on ammo to eventually go to the bigger cities too.Another idea is a postage note. Simple small thing. The ability to make a note that you can put in someones tent, car, place or anything like that. All in all a simple non aggressive way to communicate with someone else without being at gun point. For instance. You come back from a journey to a town to get some supplies with your buddy. You come back to your car you got in the woods next to your tent. You look in your car and there is a postage saying. "Hey guys I saw your camp and noticed you didn't have any food so I dropped off some of my spare food. I have an ATV and a Tent up north on grid 014 and 077 if you guys want to join up drop me off a postage at my tent. In case you don't have any postage notes i left a few blank ones." So instead of finding a tent and saying well........if i stay here i might get shot......if I wait here until i see them and try to talk to them I may startle them and die. A postage would be a nice way to contact players with low hostility. It could also be a way to piss people off. Imagine the same scenario but instead the car is empty and the postage note says "You guys are dumb for putting this car here. I was able to see it from a mile away. Thanks for the guns and lewt. Chow!"And something that also ties in with the postage note idea is maybe a super rare chance to find lets say for instance on a male zombie out in the woods somewhere. On the note it says "To whom this may concern. My name is (insert name) I have set off to find my wife and little girl some food. The market down the road from us in Polana has been over run by zombies and we haven't had a bite of food in a week. I have left my firearms with my wife for protection and set off to find food. I dont know if I will make it back. If I am dead and my fate has been made please help my family they are in a small green house north of the Polana Market by the bus stop." So since you are in the woods just south of polana you set off and made it to the house. You make it inside to see a little zombie girl and mother and 2 other zombies. You kill them and the mother has a hunting rifle with 3 magazines and a 1911 with 4 magazines. The little girl has a backpack with a bottle of water and 2 empty bottles of water matches, painkillers, some bandages. Making about 500 different events like that from a note on a dead zombie or in a car out near a gas station or something like that will add great flavor to the game and add tiny little stories to the game with some reward. Also take bandages and painkillers away from random spawns and make them more house oriented to add desire to small towns. Also adding in a First aid kit that has 2 bandages some painkillers and antibiotics would be nice. Making them rarely spawn in houses would be realistic and helpful and add desire to loot small towns. And also adding in an increased chance to find small arms weapons in houses would also be more realistic and make small towns more desirable to loot. thorgold 91 Posted July 18, 2012 1) Female zombies don't exist because there's a lack of animations for female models in ArmA 2. It's the reason why female survivors can't even wear ghillie. Making female zombies would require entirely new models and animations to be made specifically for them - which is unnecessary as it's an aesthetic issue.2) Zombies already DO drop what they'd likely be carrying. Civilians drop food, watches, and tin cans. Soldiers drop ammo, military flashlights, and radios. Do a little research.3) Zombie speed / numbers has already been suggested. Increases in zombie numbers is technically impossible due to the limits of what a server can generate at any given time, you'll notice that high-zombie-count servers have noticeably more lag and desync than low-zombie servers. Go to any other topic if you want arguments on speed/health4) Post-it notes are already in-game, in the form of map markings. "M" -> Double Click -> Type message. Everyone within 5km should see it if you're on group channel.5) No quests. Just don't even go there. 6) Bandages, painkillers, and small arms already DO spawn in residential spawns, aka houses. Enfields, Winchesters, revolvers, M1911s, CZ550s... everything except military grade gear. So... congratulations, your suggestion is in the game?

killashrub324815@gmail.com 18 Posted July 18, 2012 1) Ok I didn't know that. Maybe for the Standalone then.2) If I ran around and grabbed 100 people from around a city. The last thing I think any of them would ever ever have on them is a can of beans or empty cans. I just find it weird that most zombies I kill have a can of beans, pasta, sardines, Pepsi, or coke on them. If a zombie apocalypse happened right now and i went outside and killed one. I would be very surprised to find a can of anything on the person. Who walks around with a can of sardines in there pocket.3) ok didnt know that.4) Postage notes are not in game. I wouldn't want to tell everyone in a 5km area something that only 4 or 3 or 2 people should know.I never said painkillers, handguns, the like didn't spawn in houses. I merely suggested that the majority of random loot be changed. For instance finding pain killers and a Pepsi in a warehouse is odd. I think it should be more house oriented to make people want to visit small towns more often to find food and drinks.
IcePick Roberts 9 Posted July 19, 2012 I dont think there bad ideas, its a zombie sim so I like it to be more creepy and zombie kids are the creeps so why not add them just for aesthetic and the postage notes I agree with to dont want to tell everyone just the person I may want to team up with(got a guy in my area on map I drop a not to right now).As for "quests" yea Im not big on them and I never want them where its a normal thing but a rare note on a dead zed that gets you really good rare loot will make it more worth it to kill them and add a bit of story to the game, I hope that this game stays on the path as a zombie sim and not just arma with zombies. But I feel many wants it to just be a deathmatch game not a survival zombie sim. killashrub324815@gmail.com 18 Posted July 19, 2012 Im not a fan of "quests" in general but a random event happening rarely with good loot would be nice. I just hope that things will be added to the simulator that makes the player want to kill zombies more. Because until they are added it will be just an arma 2 deathmatch with zombies in it........ I think it should be more house oriented to make people want to visit small towns more often to find food and drinks. The thing is, this is post apocalyptic. The folks you're killing were the first to die in the outbreak, but do you think they went down without attempting to survive, first? No - they ran to the supermarket, tipped over the shelves, grabbed food and such... then, they started dying. Joe Shmoe over there got bit while running off with his can of sardines, Jane Doe never made it back to her stash of supplies she hid in a warehouse. Sure, a lot of loot doesn't make sense, but you're not working in a world where humans just spontaneously turned into zombies, it's scattered about. Also, the randomization is already optimized so that food, water, and basic survival supplies do spawn more often in small towns and such. Even if I cycle the NWA for hours, I'm probably only gonna come up with one or two cans of beans and a few cans of soda, but I'll find thousands of guns and bullets. Likewise, I can cycle a supermarket for hours and find nothing but food, soda, and civilian handguns.
