Okay so my last life, I was alive for four days but my tent was wiped and I literally put everything in there but an AKM and 2 mags. I was annoyed so I went the airfield, my friend got off when we got there so I went in alone because not too bothered about death when I had nothing... Needless to say, PTWN, dead.

Started west of Elektro, I ran in, got a makarov in a small house. Ran to the school hoping for a decent weapon, first room I check. PTWN. I'm in shock with 6k blood, I see my target and fire the only clip I have. He goes down bleeding and I hear a bone snap. I run away since I had no ammo, I bandage myself up then ran around the whole school checking if he had come out whilst looking for ammo. I found another clip and a crowbar... I walked to the room again, we fired on each other... Nothing. He didn't hit me, I don't think I hit him. So, balls to it. I have nothing. I run in with a crowbar, he starts to fire again, I run to the side of him swinging the crowbar, he goes unconscious after three hits, he didn't hit me. I stood over him hitting him until death. HIs body slowly sank into the ground immediately after death, I think this is because they disconnect? So uhm, fuck you Neilio. No need for Shooting on Sight, nor disconnecting.

The most fun I've had with a murder. Anyhow... I then proceeded with my loot of nothing to the store, a man with a Lee Enfield, M1911 and zombie skin walks in. We stand either side of a shelf staring at each other, I'm using push-to-talk and he's just staring. I assumed he was going to kill me but I'm really looking for someone to not start shooting, so I sit down and say "either kill me or lets just leave." He swaps to his Enfield and ends me with a chest shot.

Strangest 10 minutes of Day Z.

[P.s. Make zombies an actual threat please.]

He tried that, and everyone cried =(

Great 10 minutes by the sounds of it though. I hate how EVERYONE disconnects now...Everyone, sad really. Hope you have more great adventures that don't lead to your death =D

Hey, you didn't break your legs running through the house, school or store.

That's the weirdest part.

Well you did say 'just kill me or lets just leave'

Next time, just say......'lets just leave'

Nah, you have your gun aimed at me the option to shoot me is obvious, especially the way the game is going now. The day I say it and someone leaves with me. I'll know I have someone worth my time.

That's actually very rare for me, it's only happened to me on the NWAF in one of the smaller industrial buildings.

It has happened too many times near my tents though but I don't think that counts...

I think the problem was they were made more annoying, not challenging. Zombies that ran straight at you upon detection, ran roughly the same speed as you, could hit on the run, swarmed, and slow you down on hit would be so much better and challenging, and support zombie combat, versus running 25 miles an hour, not being able to hit you on the move, and doing very little damage.

Never disconnected myself, and hid in a corner when I had like 10 minutes of this guy stalking me while i was holed up in a control tower. Had 6 1911 rounds and died fighting.

Worst I experienced was this terrible terrible shot of a sniper on the roof of the NW airfield control tower. Missed me really bad, I ran off to some trees, located him, stalked him, popped a m203 smoke, and he disconnects. Didn't even fire on him yet. Decide to check out what the guy was sitting on in the control tower, and snuck up. He reconnects across the airfield, and starts missing me like crazy again. I run back to the trees once again to reassess, and once again he had disappeared by disconnecting.

The new starts with fresh respawns are always the most interesting ones. :)

Yesterday, I died when a nasty rock decided to bite my legs off. So, there went the NVG, GPS, FN FAL with NV, and all that other useless high end crap. For a moment I though I would just hit the respawn button until I spawned near my gear and then re-retrieve them, but then I thought the game is much more fun with less stuff anyway, because you can go meet new people without having to worry about losing your high end gear. So I didn't press the respawn.

And that was a good call because it ended up being one of the most hilarious encounters at cherno... I head for the apartment buildings to stock up when I see a guy who comes running at me and constantly keeps yelling friendly in the voice... I'm not really convinced that he is all that friendly, so I just run off up the stairs of the building.. I hear the guy following. Keeps on yelling friendly over and over in the voice. At the top floor of the building I turn to wait in one of the rooms. The guy comes up with his winny aimed at me and just keeps on repeating friendly. I don't want to start a shooting (had found a PDW at balota before running to cherno) so I just keep dodging left and right while waiting for his move.

All of the sudden the guy pauses repeating friendly for a while and I can hear him say "I can't get an aim"... As if he intended to say that to his friend over some other comm but screwed it up. :D

I take off and run a circle across the apartment building rooms, running down the stairs from behind him. I hear him following. Outside, immediately I aggro a few zeds.. I run around the apartment building a few times, and then away. The guy seems to have lost me in all of this running around circus.

From further away I see him go back into the building. I think "if he really was that friendly, then there should be no problem if I still go check out the apartment building closest to me". So I run and go in. Quickly check the place and find a winny. As I intend to go down, I hear someone at the stairs... And sure enough, the same "friendly" guy is crouching up the stairs. But this time he isn't saying anything. I figure he saw me come in the building and was now trying to sneak in to finish the job he failed at earlier, so I just pop one shot at him with my new shiny winny. He goes down. And I don't leave anyone suffering so I move to finish him with a another shot. Just as I shoot him I can hear him say in a sad voice something like "Oh dude ..." and trying to say something more but I can't make it out as the voice fades off as he dies.

Did I feel bad for the guy? No. I think he was a bandit just trying to troll people by repeating friendly and then shooting them at close range.

Or maybe he truly was that desperate for a friend. (In that case, sorry about the shot.) ...But even so, I don't really feel bad. If someone really wants to make a friend, then he should have enough common sense not to have a gun pulled out and run after someone who is trying to run away... That ain't the way you make friends, dude! And even more importantly... not to screw up with his comms and tell his target that he's failing to get an aim at him. lol. :P

And as a happy ending for me.. After this and even after quickly dashing through elektro and having another brief tense but friendly encounter there, I got back to my body and it was still there with all of my previous gear.

You just don't experience these kinda encounters while sneaking around the woods with your high end gear. Fresh respawns at the coast are always the best. :)

I guess I should find another bug to kill me, so I could go have a bit more fun again.
