Beta Update problem

When I download the patch and launch it and install it, it says it installed fine, when I open arma 2 it still says im on the older patch. I even tried deleting the beta folder and it still doesnt update.

try using sixupdater? http://www.dayzmod.com/?SixUpdater

i was trying to do everything manually to begin with. arma ii beta/expansion install/patching is pretty convoluted for no apparent reason

using sixupdater now.

it doesn't install the mod where the original readme says to, but, it works
