Whole server wiped by teleporting invincible player/s.

Last night I was playing with four of my friends and we were having a jolly good time just surviving and travelling and raiding and generally doing thing one does in dayz. Suddenly, we were assaulted by a guy who spawned right behind one of my buddies, I watched this happen right before my eyes. Three of us fired upon him to no avail and he disappeared only to reappear behind another one of us and kill them. We logged out and then the death messages started. The entire server was being killed at an extremely rapid pace. The better portion of 25 players were slaughtered in under a minute. I don't remember what server we were on and didn't have the sense at the time to grab the player's name.

I realize this game is far from perfect in a multitude of ways, but god damn it is fun and more so with friends. A couple of my buddies were very disheartened by this though. Any way to avoid this situation in the future? Tips?
