can't create a character at all!

so i join a server, i get to the server menu, click ok, goes to the loading screen with a picture of a base with tanks and humvees, flashes real quickly (looks like the server menu again), goes to the loading screen, recieving, wait for character to create, then a black screen comes up with the word loading at the bottom of the screen in gray and just sits there taunting me.

i have read soooooooooo many posts trying to fix all the problems i have had with dayz, and i haven't played a single second of it, im really annoyed and i know i shouldn't because this is just an alpha can someone pleassssssssssse help me? :(
