If we could have servers that ban American ips (by which I mean the US, of course) perhaps there would be none of this "Dude, got some sweet weapons from that pussy in NW Barracks", and "Sweet, dude. Dude gonna get shit-faced on lead, dude. Dude". Then there would just be civilised Europeans talking about Beethoven and Sartre while communally sharing out the beans in the shop.2. Set up an IQ-based access policy where players have to show a certain level of intelligence, education, and maturity to participate both in-game on the forum. This could be merged with 1 but I know at least five Americans who could pass the test, so there.As long as there are over 50k unique players, there will always be lots of hating. Anybody entering the building I could have killed, but this guy spawned behind me in the room I was waiting in.I'm honestly just staying on the forums now to fan the flames. Most of you are defending a disastrously flawed and shitty system that should be on the high priority list to be fixed. I fear however that there is no real way to fix this issue because of how the ArmA 2 engine works.Are you a idiot or just pretend to be one?This game is in alpha and if you spend some time on the forums the problem you described is a high priority to get fixed.Anyway, have fun with your hello kitty island adventure. Krusteh 1 Posted July 19, 2012 very frustrating situtation but not suprising. what would you do if you respawned in the barracks with an armed guy in the room with you.....panic and shoot him I suspect. Those are not ideal spots to log out from and that place in particular might be the worst on the map. The whole airfield is filled with folks that logged out there and respawn there...very unsafe and the zombies are by far the least of your worries. I had my back to the wall, anybody running in and opening the door would have gotten 30 rounds in the chest. But because this jackass was server hopping, he was able to spawn in behind me and kill me, and then when my friend finally loads in and opens fire on him while he's looting the barracks, he disconnects out.This mod is pretty fucked. I'm going back to ACE until something prevents people from server hopping and alt-f4 bailing.There are consequences, when you respawn loot around you despawns.
