Melee weapons - new weapon

I had an idea about the knife in the game. You can put the axe in your primary weapon slot. I thought that the knife could be used as a weapon in the pistol slot. Less damage then an axe but still, you can defend yourself if your closed in a house or something like that.

Pointless and suggested about 150 times previous to your moment of inspiration.

edit - to clarify obviously the knife itself is not pointless. I am sure it has quite a sharp point ;)
