why so many updates to beta version?

i'd like to understand why we always update the beta version..i don't know.. i'm still playing with .876 and a friend of mine has a newer version and cannot play for now..but we have both dayz 1.7.2.3.

how new betas fit for the same version of the mod? what does change?

i'm sorry if this isn't the right place for this thread

There are always updates as its in Alpha, you need to address issues and fix them before you can release the final product.

I think he is referring to the ArmA 2 which is constantly updating it's beta version.

I believe it's mainly because of connecting issues and hackers/script injections, although I'm not 100% sure but that's my guess.

Important improvements/fixes are available in the Betas that are useful to DayZ.

But a new official Patch is currently imminent, hence the frequency of Beta patches is high.

It's only temporary that the 1.60/1.61 version split exists and should be resolved soon.

In your case, i'd update to the latest beta.

yes, i always do that and i didn't experience any issue...just i was wondering why a game like arma needs so many patches and it's more less always the same
